What We Believe: The Whole Bible!
● Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah) died for our intentional sins and restores our relationship with our Father.
● Yeshua DID NOT cancel the Law or the Prophets. He fulfilled them - brought the law to full realization and fulfilled the prophesies concerning himself.
● Salvation is by grace through faith alone
● Keeping the Torah (His Law) NOT for Salvation, but evidence of our Salvation
● Faith without works is dead
● Showing love to God is keeping His commandments
● In-dwelling of the Holy Spirit who is our Helper and Comforter
● All of the gifts of Spirit are in full operation today.
● Five-fold apostolic gifts (apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher). These are functions NOT titles.
● The Great Commission
● Keeping the 10 Commandments
● The 4th Commandment - Remember the Sabbath day to keep it Holy - should be honored and practiced today.
(Exodus 20:8-11)
● Keeping the Feasts of YHVH. Passover, Unleavened Bread, First fruits, Pentecost, Trumpets, Day of Atonement, Feast of Tabernacles
● A local Assembly led by a plurality of elders with a leading elder/facilitator
● The "new covenant" prophesied by Jeremiah (Jeremiah 31 and Hebrews 8 ,Hebrews 10) has begun but not been fully realized.
● All things have been redeemed through Yeshua but not all has been fully reconciled.
● Sin is transgression of God's law. Sin is lawlessness - 1 John 3:4
Our Father's Values:
Based on His 10 commandments (Exodus 20)
1. Himself as Supreme Authority
I am the Yehovah thy Elohim, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. - Exodus 20:2-3
2. Worship unto Him only
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Yehovah thy Elohim am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. - Exodus 20:4-6
3. His Name
Thou shalt not take the name of Yehovah thy Elohim in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. - Exodus 20:7
4. His Holy Day of Rest
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the Yehovah made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yehovah blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. - Exodus 20:8-11
5. Respect for Authority (Mother and Father)
Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. - Exodus 20:12
6. Life
Thou shalt not murder. - Exodus 20:13
7. Marital Fidelity (Loyalty)
Thou shalt not commit adultery. - Exodus 20:14
8. Personal Property
Thou shalt not steal. - Exodus 20:15
9. Honesty
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
- Exodus 20:16
10. Contentment
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.
- Exodus 20:17
Our Father's will:
Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. - Psalm 143:10
His Torah (Genesis - Deuteronomy)
His Kingdom
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
-Matthew 6:10
His Sovereign plan
In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. - Ephesians 1:11-14
Holiness of His people
For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God: That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified. For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit. - 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8
Suffering for Good
But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing. For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, -
1 Peter 3:14-18
